Salamida's Original State Fair Spiedie

What's a Spiedie? As our famous t-shirts will tell you, it’s a tasty treat of marinated meat, char-broiled and fed on Italian sliced bread.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • 2 ½ pounds boneless, skinless chicken breasts or lamb

  • 1 bottle Salamida State Fair Spiedie Marinade

  • 6 slices of Italian bread or sub rolls

  • Italian Gourmet Pinch Seasoning Blend

WHAT TO DO:

  1. Shake and pour the Salamida’s Spiedie Marinade over the meat

  2. Mix well, cover, and refrigerate for at least 24 hours

  3. Be sure that the meat is fully submerged - and to maximize the flavors, stir once or twice throughout the marinating process

  4. Place on the grill over medium heat, turning frequently

  5. Grill for about 10 - 12 minutes

  6. During grilling process, sprinkle spiedies with Salamida Italian Gourmet Pinch

  7. *Optional: Add grilled peppers and onions for maximum taste results.
